Just Ask Any Oyster about The Walrus & The Carpenter!!

In reading the narrative poem The Walrus and the Carpenter, one sees these two characters walking on the ocean’s beach when they sight four oysters and cordially invite them to come ashore. Other oysters from the bed follow along. In doing so the oysters find that both the walrus and the carpenter are predatory creatures and the fate of their curiosity is sealed as they are devoured by these two odd individuals.

This poem can be seen in an excerpt in Alice in Wonderland, which is depicted in Disney’s 1951 animated movie. What makes the poem so interesting as it depicts a very human frailty in showing deceitfulness. In fact it’s a wonderful depiction of a modern day politician on showing concern and empathy towards people but in reality is seeking his or her own personal agenda!

At the time when your teachings are famous, and revealed throughout the world, and what I have taught you, and what you have perceived has gone forth; when the masses are also able to recite yihudim (meditative prayers for spiritual unifications) and rise above, as you do, then shall the klipot (the powers of evil) be nullified. Then shall it be a good time for salvation."

Good drawing book

Thought my daughter (4 yrs) was a little young for this but since she was interested in a drawing book thought we'd give it a try. She loved it and had an easy time following the pictures.

fun for every age developing a new talent

This whole series is really fun. The instructions are easy to follow and my grandkids LOVE their artwork drawn around these drawings. I'll draw anything from this collection, and the 5- yr- old will draw the rest of the room or building. My twenty month old granddaughter enjoys coloring the picture drawn large. This is just a lot of fun!

A battle we can relate to: Love. Everyone just wants to be love and be able to love back. Lexi finally is loved and she loves him too. But is torn and it might be too late for her to find out what love is to her. We might not know anything until we are scarred. A great book looking into one girl's reality of life and love.

This book will make you mad at times, cry at times and yell 'No" at the end of the book because this is the first book in a series. Once you read this emotional story you won't know which guy to root for! Waiting for March 23 for the second book! What a cliffhanger!

This by far is my favorite story of Helen's. It has everything friendship, loss, heartache, love. It has it all. It also has a bunch of laughs. Bryce is hilarious!! The FSoG in the library, priceless and one of my favorite parts! He also has some secrets I want to know about!!! Good Lord and then Anna!! I am soo angry at Anna and Bryce! Like seriously!!!! I can't see that going well. And the ending!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Total cliffhanger! Cannot wait until the second book comes out, must read series all! Best yet!
