I enjoyed her moxie, intelligence and overall approach to life and the case. She deals with her personal life in a realistic manner as she tries to solve the case with her team. I liked the romance, too. -Compulsion Reads An Appointment with Murder follows Sarah Woods, who embarks on a quest to discover the truth behind the murder of her assistant. Jennings' writing is captivating, raw and thrilling (and on several occasions downright funny)!Living within each page is a multitude of twists and angles that keeps the reader guessing: WHO DID IT?! Just when I thought I'd figured out who was behind it all, she'd throw me for a loop. Jennings has a knack for drawing us in and painting a vivid picture of her character's world. A world I didn't want to leave.I'll be anxiously waiting in line for the next installment of the Sarah Woods Mystery Series!L.M. Stull

A great series

The Sarah Woods Mysteries are a great way to spend some down time. Within the first few pages, I was hooked. I felt that I personally knew the characters and felt a connection. The story doesn't drag on, however I wish it did because I didn't want the stories to end. I have recommended this series to many of my friends, and they have all enjoyed the series as well. Spoiler alert...if you think you know "who did it"....you don't.

Fun, Thrilling Mysteries

Jennifer L. Jennings has created an action-packed series with her Sarah Woods Mysteries. These book follow massage-therapist-turned-amateur-investigator Sarah through her first two adventures in this boxed set. In book 1, “An Appointment With Murder,” she finds that her assistant has been strangled to death one evening—was it premeditated or a random killing? With the police turning up few leads, Sarah, herself, takes on the search for the killer. The other title, “An Act of Deceit,” Sarah teams up with Carter, a P.I. from Boston as they try to expose cheating husband, Marty Quinn. But soon, Marty winds up dead and the case takes an unexpected twist.

Jennings writing continues to impress. Her characters are fun, quirky and entirely relatable. The plots are fast-paced, unpredictable, and a lot of fun. Filled with witty dialogue and maintaining a good-PG rating, these are great reads for anyone who loves good, light-hearted mysteries.

I enjoy reading her books. She does not take up space to sell a book with a lot of vulgarity or sex. As some writers tend to overdue. I have bought a couple more of her books and look forward to reading them.

Easy to read print

When I looked to replace my missing three-in-one in a smaller size, I decided to get one with larger print. I didn't realize how big this book would be when I ordered it and find it kind of heavy and unwieldy. However, the large print is easy on the eyes and I am getting accustomed to holding it on my lap and not in my hand. Because it is not a hardback book, that contributes to the need for being careful to lay it on my lap or on a table for reading. I am enjoying re-underlining all my favorite passages. I think it is a good value despite its floppiness.

Little book but load of info.

It is an easy read and a great reference for an advanced knitter(like me).Or like the title says, a great place to learn about how to knit(even some of the history) because this book has lots of visuals. I am not all the way through the book, but so far I give it an A+.

Excellent knitting book

This book is fantastic if you want to learn how to knit. I'm a beginner knitter and this book was a great help to me, it helped me improved my knitting skills alot. The book has alot of pictures showing you examples on how to knit and the instructions are very easy to follow. I love how the author includes the history of knits. There are topics on choosing yarn, picking needle, seams and finishing and much more other binding techniques. The book has links to sites that has videos showing you how to knit, if you are more of a visual person. Overall this is a great book on knitting.

Amazing man, amazing story.

I was assigned "Tuesdays with Morrie" as a book report read in one of my advanced lit (Grad school) classes a few years ago. Upon unpacking boxes during a recent move, I found my notes, the report and my copy of this book and took a look through everything again. Doing this actually easily rekindled my feelings and thoughts brought on by this story. I really, truly loved this when I read it and actually watched the film adaptation afterwards, which I rarely do!

I just thought I'd jot down a few words on this one as I did not read it this year (so it doesn't count towards my Reading Challenge) or whatever, but it DID have an impact on me & has stuck around in my mind since I picked it up the other day. :)

I guess those thoughts and feelings translate to a recommendation for this book! lol :)

"The Book of Wands is a brilliant read, both as a humorous story, and as a guide for awakening what we may call the "magical" side of life. Being an experienced practitioner already, I still found this book refreshing and rewarding to read. Neil presents valuable information on a subject little understood in our culture, and his presentation is very fresh and original, using his own life story as a teaching tool for others to understand. I loved going back to the brain lab in greater detail (was already there from reading Frontal Lobes Supercharge and related readings) and from there, I really enjoyed traveling through Neil's life to learn about his particular application of various magical skills. Feeling like a "lone ranger" at times, it is always refreshing to read of others who have certain skills to into deeper reality.eeper reality."
