Incredible Parenting Solution Handbook

I've worked in the child development field for over 28 years and have a degree in professional child care. With all of the training and books I have read, I have never seen such a thorough resource for understanding children's individuality and how to guide them into joyful, productive adults. It's one of those "wish I would have had it years ago" book full of incredible information on understanding the four types of energy profiles in children. I have 6 children and 6 grandchildren and am thrilled to have a deeper understanding of their individuality.
It's so much more than just understanding a personality as other books have identified. It's about physical features, movement, ways of relating to the world and what motivates each type. By understanding a child's true nature, you can learn to parent or teach them without wounding and stifling their natural talents, abilities and tendencies which are the things that make them amazing and wonderful. As you become a "Child Whisperer" you will learn to guide them in a positively enriching way rather than trying to change them to what you think they should be or a traditional "mold" of social expectations.
Many tips throughout the book give you ideas in relating to each child's type. There is also a section on the pitfalls of traditional parenting methods and beliefs.

I have NEVER had a book so clearly and thoroughly help me understand EACH of my children, individually. Not to mention get positive results QUICKLY, like within a day of applying the tools the author, Carol Tuttle, offers in this book!
I have always heard that "every child is so different" but when I go to look for a parenting book when problems come up...I have only ever found "one-size-fits-all" solutions...which usually end up NOT being solutions...because, well, every child is different! If a certain solution has worked for one of my children I now know it worked because that solution naturally honored and supported my child.
No matter the age of your child (even adult children!), the personality of your child or the challenges you are facing I am confident that this book will be an incredibly healing tool for all parents. In fact, this book will help ANY person who interacts with children regularly, including teachers, day care providers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.

Life-changing parenting book for all parents - it really is a handbook for your child

I have five young children, and although I may know my kids better than anyone else, I learned so much more about each of them through reading this book. Our interactions, discussions, and even difficulties have become much simpler and more joyful. It's true that a one-size-fits-all parenting approach doesn't work when you've got children that have different motivations, different ways of moving through the world, and different natural expressions! One of the things I love about this book is that I can become my own parenting expert and feel confident in the approaches that I try, because they are approaches that are tailored to each of my kids and what they need from me as their parent. I also love that it is so comprehensive and, at 432 pages, is a wonderful resource and a great reference as my kids age and their needs change. It is not a book that I'll read once and just put on the shelf. I'll be referring to it again and again.
The Child Whisperer is not only great for parents, but I noticed that it can also be really helpful for anyone who interacts with or works with children. Think: a schoolteacher who wants to motivate all her uniquely different students, a grandmother who wants to be an influence for good in her grandchildren's lives, a social worker who works with troubled teens, a community member who is concerned about the direction young people seem to be headed. The applications are really endless.
